After exporting a project to the server project file (.szip), you can import it to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. You can also use .szip files to update existing projects on the platform.


To import/update projects from a server project file to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

  1. In the main menu, select File > Import From > Server Project File.
  2. In the open dialog, select the .szip file you want to import and click the Open button. The Import Project to the Server dialog opens.



    The  Import Project to the Server dialog lists the main project and its usages that will be imported to or updated on the server. The Action column indicated the action that will be performed on each project:

    • Add to Server - The project does not exist on the server and will be added as a new project.
    • Update - An earlier project version exists on the server, and the project will be updated. During the update, a new project version is created, and the project data from the server project file overwrites the project data stored on the target server. Click  to select which project revision or branch should be updated.
    • Skip - The same version of the project you're trying to import exists on the server. The existing project version on the server will be used in the project that requires it. No new data will be imported or updated.
  3. Click the Import button.


When the import is complete, the Notification Window opens saying that the projects were imported successfully.
