If you want to use elements from another server project, you must first use that project in your main project. You can only use projects in the read-only mode.

Using a local project

If you want to use a local project, first you must add it to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Using a server project in your project

To start using a server project in your project

  1. Select one of the following:
    • Options > Project Usages
    • Collaborate > Project Usages > Project usages
  2. In the Project Usages dialog, click  and select Use Server Project. The Use Server Project wizard opens.



  3. Select the server project you want to start using and click Next.

    Use the 3DSearch bar functionalities to find projects quicker.

  4. Select the project iteration you want to use and click the Finish button.

  5. When the usage is complete, click OK to close the Project Usages dialog.


All used projects are displayed in the Project Usages dialog and the Containment tree of your model, under the Project Usages package.
