CATIA Magic/No Magic Modeling Tools
Released on: July 26, 2024
2022x Refresh2 Hot Fix 2 is now available for CATIA Magic and No Magic portfolios. It includes a number of improvements, bug fixes, and vulnerability fixes in our modeling tools and server products.
Hot Fix version compatibility
The version and Hot Fix number of a modeling tool and its plugins must be the same. After installing the Hot Fix version of a modeling tool, select the same Hot Fix version when downloading its plugins. The modeling tool will not work correctly if you install plugins of a different version and/or Hot Fix number.
Magic Software Architect / MagicDraw
- The issue where all element representations are removed from a diagram in a server project instead of only the selected one(s) has been resolved.
- The removal of shortcut keys via Environment Options is no longer impersistent.
- The issue where the spell checker was not working due to the inability to extract dictionaries provided in the modeling tool installation files has been fixed.
- Comparator exceptions are no longer thrown, and table diagrams are no longer empty when working with derived properties in DSL.
- An anchor between a Note symbol and a Legend Item no longer disappears from a diagram after reopening a project.
- The issue where the ID and Text Tagged Values are not displayed in a Note on a diagram is fixed.
- The issue where a validation failure is not reported if the error message has an incorrect script or HTML text is fixed.
- The performance of selecting an element with a large number of ports has been improved and the issue of the modeling tool freezing is fixed.
- The issue where a lot of memory is used when updating Text Index has been fixed.
- The issue where a screen recording dialog is displayed upon launching the modeling tool on macOS has been fixed.
- The modeling tool installation issue on Linux where the recommended Java version could not be selected has been fixed.
Collaboration
- The issues where the UPDM Profile for BPMN is duplicated after profile migration has been fixed.
- The problem where in certain cases saving projects locally creates unexpected project usages has been resolved.
- The errors no longer appear while loading Teamwork Cloud projects previously migrated with the 2022x R1 version.
- Large model texts no longer break the index and are added to Teamwork Cloud without exceptions.
Collaboration Powered by 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
- The issue preventing users from connecting to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with a custom port has been resolved.
- The issue where an error occurs while trying to edit project branches after a project merge has been fixed.

- The issue where you could not log in to the R2024x FD02 platform from the 2022x modeling tool version has been fixed.
Magic Model Analyst / Cameo Simulation Toolkit
- The issue where in some cases signals are not sent during simulation has been fixed.
- The problem when a signal with generalization and redefined attribute does not work with Accept Event Actions has been resolved.
- A simplified Set Simulation Variable method has been introduced for setting a single simulation variable. The new method does not require constructing a JSON.
- Redefined array values are no longer doubled when redefined property is an opaque expression.
- The issue where during simulation a Constraint Parameter is not passed to another Constraint Parameter has been fixed.

Magic Systems of Systems Architect / Cameo Enterprise Architecture / UAF 1.2
- The PES export functionality is no longer available.
Magic Collaboration Studio / Teamwork Cloud / Cameo Collaborator
- The CVE-2023-3589 vulnerability is addressed. The remediation is as follows:
To enable CSRF protection, you need to uncomment esi.dm.csrf.allowed-addresses property in the Teamwork Cloud application.conf file.
esi.dm {
# Enable to turn on CSRF protection. This will block all incoming REST API requests, except those, coming from specified
# IP addresses. List of strings, allowed IP must begin with specified string.
# csrf.allowed-addresses = ["127.0.0.1", "0.0.0"]
}
Cameo DataHub
- The Ddatahub.trm.not_use_Folders argument reduces the time required to retrieve the list of Requirement Specifications available for the user on Single Specification Selection GUI. Setting the argument to true disables the support for specification folders on 3DS platform.
- The TWC OSLC API URL could be provided manually on the Ddatahub.oslc.url.backLink argument. The argument replaces the automatic retrieval of OSLC API link disabled in 2022x version.
