Cameo Collaborator for Teamwork Cloud allows you to export comments to the PDF/HTML format. This way you can archive the discussions among team members that resulted in specific changes made in the model and thus trace the reasoning behind these changes. The exported files include not only all comments and replies created in the document but also the document and project information and comments statistics as shown below.


To export Cameo Collaborator comments to PDF or HTML


  1. Open the Cameo Collaborator document containing the comments you want to export.
  2. On the right side of the app bar, click and select Export document to PDF or HTML.
  3. In the open wizard, click the Type drop-down box and select Comments.
  4. Click the Document scope drop-down box and select one of the following scope options: 
    • Active section - exports the comments in the document's open section, which is selected in the Navigation pane.
    • Active section's presentation elements - selecting this option allows you to choose from which elements of the active section comments are exported.



    • Active view - exports the comments in the open view of the document which is selected in the app bar.
    • Whole document - exports all the comments in the document.
  5. Click the Next button.
  6. In the second step of the wizard, specify the following export properties:

    • Choose the format of the target document by selecting the PDF or HTML radio button.

    • To add a cover page, turn on the Cover page switch. A cover page contains the document name, export date, project information, and document information.

    • To add a page with the table of contents, turn on the Table of contents switch .

      Adding the table of contents works only when exporting comments to the PDF format.

    • To protect the generated file with a password, turn on the Password protected switch and enter the desired password in the Password box. 

      Enabling password protection works only when exporting comments to the PDF format.

    • If you want to use a custom template to generate a PDF or HTML, click the Template drop-down box and select the template you want to use. If the document has no custom templates, the drop-down box is disabled and the default template is used.



  7. Click the Finish button.
  8. When you get a message that the file is ready to download, click the Download button.


Note that exporting a large number of comments may take a while, so be patient while the file is being generated. You can check the file status in the Task Manager.
