The CV-1 should be the first diagram for DoDAF architectures.


To create a CV-1 diagram

  1. Create a Capability and Actual Enterprise Phase.
  2. Connect the Capability and the Actual Enterprise Phase using the Exhibits relationship.


An additional Actual Enterprise Phase can be created and linked to Enterprise Goals and the Enterprise Vision by using the goal and vision properties of the Actual Enterprise Phase.

In order to complete the CV-1, a CV-2 should be modelled to create the Capabilities that exhibits Actual Enterprise Phase.
