Description

The D2 Deployed Resources view covers the structure of specific, individual Resources. This could be actual instances of systems, organizations or natural resources.

The D2 shows how specific individual resources are deployed and configured. The scope for the D2 view is broad and covers human and non-human resources. This view can therefore be used for depicting organizational structures.

The D2 view may be used to:

  • Specify configuration of deployed resources.
  • Identify architecture stakeholders.
  • Identify process owners.

  • Illustrate current or future organization structures.

Implementation

The D2 view can be represented using:

  • An D2 Deployed Resources diagram which is based on the UML Class diagram.
