The UAF Background actions Logging Feature logs and displays the hidden actions performed behind the scenes while working with non-symbolic diagrams, such as Gantt Charts, in the Enterprise model. The feature aims to bring more clarity by informing you about the additional elements and relationships created in the model but not directly visible in the diagram.
The logged background actions will be displayed in the notification window, allowing you to see what new elements and relationships are created and navigate to them in the Containment tree. The feature is available for various Unified Architecture Framework diagrams in the Strategic, Services, Resources, Personnel, Projects, and Standards domains. This implementation is supported across all Enterprise models, including DoDAF, DoDAF 2.0, MODAF, NAF, NAF 4.0, and UAF.
For instance, in the Strategic Phasing diagram, after adding a new Capability Provision, you will be informed about the new Actual Project Milestones, Exhibits relationship, and Milestone Dependency Relationship created through the Capability Provision Creation Wizard. The user can navigate to these newly created elements and relationships from the notification window to the Containment tree.
Similarly, in the Personnel Forecast table, after filling in the relevant cells, the user will be informed about the newly created Forecast relationships for each Subject of Forecast, which they can navigate to in the Containment tree.
